 Verified We were greeted at Laneside by Stephen, one of our hosts, and given a tour and made to feel right at home straight away. "Meadowsweet" is a fantastic, spacious room with an ensuite and small kitchen area. The TV is a bonus too. We couldn't have asked for a better space to make home for a few days.Katy and Stephen truly went above and beyond as generous hosts, providing us with fresh, homemade bread and jams (which were absolutely delicious!) and made sure we didn't need for anything upon our arrival. This was especially useful as the small shop in Glaisdale is only open for business until 12:30 on some days. Glaisdale itself is a great spot for hikers. The Arncliffe Arms was the only other major attraction in the village as far as we could tell. They did excellent evening meals and I'd recommend an evening there if staying at Laneside. Nearby village Lealholm also had a great pub, The Board Inn, which did great "pub tapas" style food. Lealholm village shop also proved very handy.

 Verified Beautiful, clean room in a stunning area surrounded my countryside and sheep. We loved the added touches of bread, jams and orange juice and the hosts were really helpful. Would recommend for a peaceful get away, we just wish we had more time to enjoy the area!Would recommend if people are wanting taxis in the area to pre book in advance and the are few and far between.

 Verified Lane side is a beautiful location and the room is exactly as stated. Beautifully presented, immaculately clean and the hosts are lovely. Kate leaves everything you need for breakfast, the home baked bread is beyond delicious, the jams lovely and the little extra touches great. Location is great with plenty local pubs to eat at.  Verified Our stay was absolutely perfect. Its a really lovely room & exceptionally comfortable.Really good en suite.Immaculately clean & the furnishings are really high quality. We could not want for anything - bread / spreads & preserves / yoghurts / milk, butter & orange juice.Nice coffeeCheck in was effortless.We would not hesitate to stay again - and it would be for longer.  Verified We had a lovely overnight stay at Laneside. The room was absolutey beautiful- the view stunning! Hosts were lovely- even popped up with an ice bucket for our drinks as having a quiet night in! The bread was FAB! Your Hosts

Your hosts are Katy and Stephen Simpson. We live and work from home and enjoy hosting and travelling. Both hailing from Yorkshire we moved to Glaisdale in October 2021 and are slowly building a portfolio of beautiful places to stay on our property for your enjoyment.
